Porcupine Parents Page

Resources

One of the most challenging jobs in the world is parenting. For those parenting children with severe emotional or behavioral disorders, the task can be daunting to say the least. What I hope to accomplish with this page is to make that job a little easier. I hope these links serve as a bridge to better understand your Little Porcupine. Some of these sites are clinical in nature and are intended more for mental health professionals. In my opinion, this is necessary because Porcupine Parents are often required to be 'professional' parents.

Because Porcupine Kids often don't fall neatly into one diagnostic category, I have put together a collection of sites that have been helpful to me over the years. Many of these resources have links to other helpful sites. So if the link here isn't quite what you need, maybe it can provide some direction to the right path. I would appreciate any feedback on these sites. Were they helpful? Also, I would be interested in any suggestions for additional links. Contact me.
